The Life Map includes a comprehensive health risk appraisal and a private consultation for individuals including an Exercise Prescription, Nutrition/Diet/Weight Loss Consultation, Body Composition Test, Fasting Lipid Profile and Health Risk Modification. Each individual receives a personal computer report with a specific plan of action to address noted health risks.
The Exercise Prescription includes a health history appraisal, training heart rate, Kcal expenditure, cardiovascular & strength training programming, tracking of program & progress, along with updates.
- Nutrition/Diet/Weight Loss Consult
We will design a program for weight loss, assess blood chemistries, and lowering cardiac risk (cholesterol, etc.). Body Compostition, Fasting Lipid Profile & ideal weight recommendation included.
- Fitness Assessment
This assessment includes a Sub Maximal Treadmill Test, Strength Evaluation and an Exercise Prescription.
- Body Composition Assessment
The Body Pod measures lean mass, fat mass, body fat percentage, and an anatomically ideal weight. A 2-hour fast (water ok) is required prior to the test.

- Strength Training Program / Set-up
This involves a one-hour session with a trainer designing an appropriate strength training program for the individual.
- Maximal Treadmill Stress Test
The max treadmill test evaluates the pulmonary, cardiovascular, and hemodynamic responses to exercise. The test also assesses maximal functional capacity and is used in the screening of cardiovascular disease.
Metabolic evaluation of resting and exercise metabolism is performed using on-line gas analysis, blood pressure and heart rate monitoring, anaerobic threshold assessment, and maximal functional capacity analysis. 12-lead ECG required for men over 40 and women over 50, as well as those at higher risk for cardiovascular disease.

- Sports Nutrition Consultation
Dr. Parker, Ph.D provides a one on one consultation to teach the athlete how to adopt a nutritious diet to optimize performance, maintain a healthy body weight, and live a healthy lifestyle.
Metabolic evaluation of resting metabolism (fasting) yields result of resting calorie expenditure. (24 hour calorie expenditure- measured vs. expected). Fuel substrate utilization (is the body burning protein or fat during fasting metabolism). Results are used to provide individual consult for diet & exercise to maximize fat & weight loss.
